Summary:
To accelerate the selection and development of skilled personnel and build a high-caliber, top-tier professional workforce—thereby enhancing the company’s overall strength and competitive edge—the company organized its 2016 Employee Occupational Skills Competition on December 29. Sixty outstanding contestants from various business units competed side by side, showcasing their expertise. The competition featured four distinct trades: welding, crane‑operation safety, machine‑tool drill‑bit sharpening, and forklift operation.

In the practical demonstration, each contestant showcased skillful and refined professional techniques, with seamless coordination among their eyes, hands, and feet, executing the tasks with ease and successfully completing all challenges.

The contestants’ expert techniques flowed seamlessly, like Pang Ding carving an ox—precise, incisive, and spot-on.

The successful organization of this frontline employees’ vocational skills competition not only served as a comprehensive assessment of their on-the-job competencies but also significantly boosted their enthusiasm and initiative to acquire knowledge and enhance their skills. It fostered a strong culture of “competing, learning, catching up, helping, and surpassing,” achieving the goal of promoting learning through competition and mentoring new talent, with the aim of identifying and cultivating more model workers in emerging skill areas. This has laid a solid foundation for further elevating the overall service quality of all staff and strengthening the company’s competitive edge.
