Tri-Lateral Head Unit

A three‑way stacker is a specialized attachment that allows goods to be placed either in front of or to the left or right of the forklift during lifting or lowering. It connects the forks to the fork carriage and, via two sets of hydraulic circuits, enables the forks to rotate 180° and laterally shift, giving the forklift the ability to pick up loads directly from the side without turning. This capability facilitates handling and stacking operations in narrow aisles. However, constrained by the forklift’s lateral stability, its lifting height cannot match that of a reach truck; nonetheless, one of its key advantages is its potential to replace reach trucks, thereby reducing aisle widths and improving warehouse utilization.
