At around 4 p.m., at the project’s hands-on demonstration site, two container trucks waited by the loading platform in the polyolefin storage yard of Fujian United Petrochemical. The “magic device” developed by Longhe Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. made a dazzling appearance: after being de-palletized by the terminal’s automated material-handling system, entire stacks of polyolefin products were systematically loaded into containers, precisely and flawlessly placed in their designated positions. In less than 20 brief minutes, the loading operation for the 25.5-ton container was completed smoothly. All the attendees were overjoyed and full of admiration!
The project was launched in 2016. At the outset of the collaboration, the polyolefin business team of Fujian United Petrochemical, the marketing department, and Ruisheng Company jointly organized an on-site visit to examine the polyolefin loading methods used within the petrochemical system. Following a thorough investigation and comparison, and without altering the existing stack-type platform at the storage yard or disrupting normal shipping operations, multiple options were evaluated and carefully selected. Ultimately, it was decided to adopt the terminal material automatic switching system developed by Longhe Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and to retrofit the loading platform accordingly.
Since taking on the project, Longhe Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has never ceased its efforts to research solutions for material-handling in the bagged‑goods industry, including petrochemicals, always keeping its mission of freeing up labor firmly in mind. Through targeted development, repeated experiments, and multiple rounds of fine-tuning by the company’s team, the system completed its initial installation and commissioning at the end of June 2018, then entered the trial‑operation phase, and was officially put into service by July 24.
Currently, compared with previous manual operations, this system can increase daily shipment capacity by an astonishing 2,000 tons, and reduce loading time from the original one hour to within 20 minutes, greatly improving work efficiency while also lowering product damage rates and enhancing service quality. The entire process has essentially achieved unmanned operation, truly realizing multi-party collaboration, mutual benefit, shared value, and common prosperity.
